This is kind of a tricky ship for me because I do love Astarion and Shadowheart’s banter, and I was really shipping them during early access… but I just don’t see them together upon full release. And I don’t really like the way Astarion behaves for the majority of his romance towards PC (it especially irked me in the second act with Orthon, like at this point Astarion is supposed to be catching feelings, but he pulls a Fenris with yelling at you and throwing vile accusations). Shadowheart is my absolute favorite and she just deserves better. 😹 In all seriousness, though, in their good routes they want very different things from life, and um… In their evil routes they don’t give a f about anyone so ultimately what’s the point. But I’ve spent too much time on them in my first two playthroughs and recorded hundreds of gigabytes of video. It just seemed like a waste not to make… something. Plus, I heard this song and I originally wanted to make this vid… more messy, but I ended up replacing most of the vampire lord Astarion things in it because the whole vampire lord Astarion route makes me mad lmao. & with his evil route, especially playing as Shadowheart, that just puts her in the place of being abused by Astarion instead of Shar and… nope, just nope. And we don’t even get fangs to show for it!
