Discussing: Mixed Reality Fighting Games (feat. AR Fighters)

In this video, I’ll show you how “AR Fighters“ plays in large-scale outdoors and we’ll talk about augmented reality fighting games in general. I want this video to inspire developers to look at the opportunities of creating an Augmented Reality or Mixed Reality (e.g. Magic Leap One Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat X style game or Super Smash Bros. style type of game. Right now, there are some small AR fighting games, but none of them felt really complete or very exciting to play. There is a place here for creating this type of game in my opinion. Whether it will be a Pokemon-style location-based game or a local multiplayer fighting game, it’s up to you to find the one that best fits the current market, maybe it will be a combination of the two or something else. People like fighting games, and I don’t see a reason why it won’t have its appeal in AR/MR as well. In fact, when I imagine a mixed reality fighting game in mixed reality, there are ways to make this game so exciting, one that can adjust and adapt to the current scanned meshed area and use the environment to produce an exciting game that is unlike any other. Imagine being able to do a jump kick and push the opponent onto a real wall or do a uppercut boxing move that pushes your opponent into the ceiling with amazing visual effects and a crack visual effects in the ceiling, or maybe a hole where the enemy just pushed out of the scene like in Super Smash Bros. This can be really cool right? Think about using different martial arts and maybe inject some arcade-style gameplay with some crazy physics just so it would be more interesting and fun to play in mixed reality. I hope you get inspired by this video to create something like that. If you enjoy this discussion videos, please don’t forget to like & Subscribe and I’ll bring you more of these type of videos.
