International Judo Club Tournament YAWARA CHALLENGE for “Lokomotiv” Cup Final block

The International Judo Club Tournament YAWARA CHALLENGE for “Lokomotiv” Cup will welcome 4 men’s teams: “Yawara-Neva” (RUS), “Lokomotiv” (RUS), SK “Tehran” (IRI) and “Red Star” (SRB). The competitions will take place in the Sport Center “Vysota” (Pulkovskoe road, 37 liter A) on 17th June inside the sports and entertainment programme of the anniversary 25th Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum-2022. The tournament will be held in a “wall-to-wall” format, one of the most spectacular in judo. Each team competition will feature five contests (-66 kg, - 73 kg, - 81 kg, -90 kg, 90 kg). A Judo Challenge series of competition has a long history and has already been held in an individual (Judo Hero) and intercontinental team format (Europe vs. Asia). The first club tournament “Yawara Challenge” was held last year inside the SPIEF sports programme when men’s and women’s club teams of “Yawara Neva” challenged Spanish club teams “AJM Madrid” (men’s) and “JC Valencia” (women’s).
