SPANISH Funker Vogt se creó en 1995 en Hamelin, Alemania, tomando el nombre de un amigo que trabajaba en el ejército. Cuentan con una discografía bastante prolífica, que incluye más de una decena de álbumes de estudio además de numerosos singles, maxis y remixes. Su estilo se caracteriza por utilizar voces agresivas y recitadas en las estrofas y más melódicas y pegadizas en los estribillos, empleando en sus primeros trabajos una distorsión muy cruda que después se ha ido moderando (otros , como Red Queen, son cantados utilizando la voz natural), contando también con algunos temas que se alejan del industrial más elemental y se acercan a otros géneros como el synthpop o el darkwave. También les distingue el incluír numerosos cortes, efectos y atípicos sonidos de sintetizador mezclados con otros más orquestales, integrados hábilmente en la melodía. ENGLISH The name of the band translates from German to English as ’Radio Operator Vogt’, taken from a friend of the band who was a navigator/radio operator in the German army. This choice of name describes and defines the theme of the project: German army - military - war. The responsibilities/roles of each member of the band are clearly defined: Gerrit Thomas composes the music, while Jens Kästel is the singer. Most of the lyrics are written by Kai Schmidt, with occasional contributions by Jens and Gerrit. In concert Jens and Gerritt are supported by two guests, namely Björn Böttcher (keyboard) and Thomas Kroll (guitar). For three years Kai Schmidt managed the band, when he handed the management over to Repomanagement (KS/BB).
