Blue Bonnets Over the Border, a Scottish Step dance

There are several Scottish dances called ’Blue Bonnets Over The Border’. This particular version, danced here by a Shady Glen student Anna Kochetkova (Moscow), features 4 out of 6 steps first taught at SCDS St. Andrew’s Summer School in 1927 (!) by a prominent Scottish Step and Highland dance teacher Mr. John Reid of Newtyle. It is usually considered a beginner dance although it’s probably not the best start for those lacking any prior Scottish dance experience.
