I’ve Just Seen A Face */ The Beatles ’ Full Instrumental
One of the top 5 best intros in a Beatles song. Chills.
This is one of dozens of Beatles songs that would be an A-side hit for any other band, and could have been an A-side single. This band was so prolific, this wonderful little song got thrown in with other album tracks. Still unbelievable how many A quality songs these guys churned out.
After picking this apart, I hear 3 main guitars:
- John Lennon: Gibson J-160E, capo 2nd fret.
- Paul McCartney: Epiphone Texan, no capo.
- George Harrison: Framus Hootenanny (played again w/an overdubbed solo).
After briefly considering spending even more of my savings on a Texan, I figured y’all would forgive me for using my Gibson G-45 as a substitute. Also, please welcome my new acoustic 12-string, a Hootenanny soundalike called an Ibanez Artwood AW5412JR 3/4 size 12-string. I played this in a Sam Ash years ago and almost left the store with it, it sounded so much like the Framus.
Also, some great brush work from Ringo. His
