Two Steps from Hell “Flight of the Silverbird“, extended mix--speedpaint (Krita) Planetside 2

I do not own the music in this video :) On July 17th, 2945, just over 100 years after the outbreak of the Great Auraxian War, Lieutenant Commander Leonidas Grey was on patrol with his New Conglomerate reaver, nicknamed the Silverbird, and a small squadron along the northern coast of Amerish, when they received word of a Terran Republic bastion fleet carrier that was dangerously close to the NC warpgate. The squadron consisted of only three reavers, since this was intended to merely be a routine there was no one else within striking distance. The three reavers climbed high into the clouds and dove down upon the enemy bastion, which was swarming with defensive “Mossies“ as the TR mosquitos where jocularly referred to. Two of the reavers where destroyed in whirling dogfights within minutes of the assault, but Grey managed to score a critical hit on the aft reactor of the bastion, causing an explosion that obliterated the entire midships and sent the wreckage hurtling into the sea far below. A few moments later, Grey’s reaver was swarmed and shot down, but the mossies had no choice but to turn and flee as their base of operations was now fragmented beneath the stormy waves of the North Auraxian Sea. When Grey rebirthed a few moments later at the warpgate, he was met with cheers and a promotion for gallantry, and his exploit became known as the Flight of the Silverbird.
