Painting Cosmos with Watercolor

We are going to paint cosmos flowers swaying in the autumn wind. The key to painting cosmos is to make them look light and floaty. You can do that by painting with light brushstrokes in purple like Crimson Lake or Rose Mother, mixed with lots of water. But the painting might look too hazy if you use only the light colors, so the inner parts of the petals should be slightly painted with vivid and deep colors. Then you can make a sharp painting where the dark and light parts of the petals contrast each other. #watercolor #flowers #cosmos [ Supplies ] Brushes: DAVINCI PETIT GRIS MIX 8, BABARA 20R 4, HWAHONG 610 6 Paper: CANSON Moulin du Roy 300g 100% coton Paint: HWC(HOLBEIN ARTISTS’ WATERCOLORS)
