Deadly fire ravages residential building in Valencia

Firefighters in Spain searched an apartment building for signs of life after a massive fire the day before killed at least four people, while at least 15 remained missing, said authorities. The fire began on the fourth floor of the building in an affluent neighbourhood of Spain’s third-largest city, Valencia, before spreading to other apartments, emergency services said on X, formerly Twitter. Valencia’s mayor Maria Jose Catala said there are “between nine and 15 people in the apartment building fire that we’ve been unable to locate“. Firefighters stood on a crane as they searched for survivors in the still-smoking building while a drone was seen surveying the building from its exterior. #fire #spain #damage Subscribe to The Telegraph with our special offer: just £1 for 3 months.
