How to learn hard basslines (5 must know tips)

I remember when I first discovered the bass playing of Anthony Jackson. His playing with Michel Camillo was my favourite at the time and I was desperately trying to nail the bass part on a track called ‘From Within’. It was going pretty well until the band unison section just before Anthony’s KILLER solo. I just couldn’t force my fingers into playing the right notes and it was really frustrating. I’d learned the whole song up to then, but that part was above my pay grade! In this video I’m going to show you how to methodically master even the most difficult parts of a song. That way, when you play the ‘hard stuff’, it won’t seem hard at all.
