Liberals were once wary of the FBI, like, for example, back when the agency attempted to blackmail Martin Luther King jr into killing himself. But now the FBI has become a target of the MAGA right, and for most Democrats, that’s good enough to earn their support. So it should come as no surprise that Congressional Democrats as one have spoken out against the new “Church Committee”-style investigation House Republicans will soon be launching to potentially uncover FBI misdeeds.
