Both tracks peaked at No. 1 within a week of one another on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. The GRAMMY-nominated artists’ paths crossed again on 2016’s ominous “Beneath with Me” featuring Skylar Grey. More recently, in July 2021, Kaskade made history as the first public concert performed at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. The sold-out show featured a surprise set by deadmau5 and had the two artists reuniting again for a set to close the show. As Kx5, deadmau5 and Kaskade are primed to write their own history. Now the pair officially join forces to form a unique collaborative union. About #SOFITUKKER: SOFI TUKKER is comprised of Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern. The celebrated duo have resonated across the globe with their inclusive and global perspective on electronic music, laced with themes of liberation, unity, and self-empowerment. Many of the duo’s hit songs are sung in Brazilian Portuguese with lyrics by contemporary Brazilian poets, such as Chacal, who they collaborated with on their GRAMMY-nominated debut single “Drinkee.“ Their latest full-length album, WET TENNIS (When Everyone Tries To Evolve, Nothing Negative is Safe) is the follow-up to their GRAMMY-nominated debut album Treehouse. Their vibrant fan community “The Freak Fam” are highly engaged both on and off-line.
