In this video, I’ll show you the basic anatomy that creates that squash and stretch. We will look at how the squash works from the front and side views, giving you a nice quick shorthand to capture it simply. With these tools, plus the ability to see the ribcage and pelvis (tutorials for those are linked above) then you’ll be able to capture the gesture in 95% of poses. It’s fun to see how basic anatomy really helps us with our gestural drawing!
