Hunt Blessing (1929)

No title. C/U of a group of beagles. Another C/U of the dogs. High angle shot of a hunt meeting gathered outside a church. A large crowd watches as a clergyman gives the hunt a blessing. A catholic priest (?) seems to sprinkle holy water on the dogs. Members of the hunt mill around. High angle of the hunt moving off on foot - some of the men have large hunting horns. Paper records state that this is shot in Belgium. “It was in this country (so legend goes) that St. Hubert met a Stag, with a crucifix between his antlers, and so became converted.“ L/S of men walking down a country lane with the dogs and hunt horses behind them. The hunt rides past the camera. Various shots. M/s of huntsmen on horseback. C/U of woman sitting side-saddle. L/S of the hounds running through a forest. Men with horns stand behind the dogs.
