On board the Russian cruiser Moskva: facts to know

Stationed several miles off the Mediterranean coast of Syria, the Moskva missile cruiser laden with long-range guided missiles was Moscow’s tough answer to any targets threating its air campaign in Syria. Russia has deployed the flagship of its Black Sea Fleet near its airbase in Latakia after one of its Su-24 fighter jet was shot down by the Turkish air force in late November.
