4:3 Polyrhythms (in top 40 pop music?!) [ AN’s Bass Lessons #4 ]
4:3 is a powerful polyrhythmic ratio and the basis of a lot of pop music songwriting and bass rhythms of the past 10 years or so. It’s important to understand how to feel this structure and also give it musical context so that you, the bass player, can groove within it and make it sound awesome.
