Dicrossus filamentosus Ladiges, 1958 (Geophaginae, Cichlidae): pre-mating operations

My Chessboard Cichlids (Dicrossus filamentosus) during the pre-mating operations. The female is committed to clean the deposition area, while the male guards the surroundings. Both breeders show the nuptial colourations. Fishes are keeped in an “Orinoco“ biotope aquarium with other species from Venezuela: Poecilocharax weitzmani and Otocinclus sp.
