I wasn’t planning to do this video today, but it came out of a conversation I had with someone in the Comments feed below my last plasterboard fixings video I was recommending the best fixings (anchor fixings being my top recommendation in this situation) for hanging a 6kg picture on a plasterboard wall. But the person I was discussing this with said he had thought of combining a heavy duty picture hook with a screw and plasterboard fixing - so I thought I’d give it a try to see whether it was worth recommending on my channel. TODAY’S TOOLKIT - Electric Drill (for drilling the holes into the plasterboard) - Electric Screwdriver (not essential but makes it a bit easier!) - Anchor Setting Tool (Amazon) - Drill bits - 8mm/6mm - Hollow Wall Anchors (M5 x 52mm for 12mm plasterboard). 10mm drill bit required - Fischer UX635R fixing 6mm dril bit required. You must use the right screws eg 4x50mm as if the screw is too thick, the plug will not knot properly behind the plasterboard - Fischer Duopower 8x40 fixing - 8 mm diameter drill bit - GripIt yellow plasterboard fixings 15x20mm (Amazon) - screws supplied * The Amazon links above are affiliate links.
