Djent Sonata for cello and piano at Cineteatro Louletano by The Fusion project #live #Jazz #Rock
Inspired by Djent, a subgenre of progressive metal, known for its complex rhythmic structures and syncopated polymetered patterns. And the name “The Drum“ is inspired by the classification of the piano as a percussion instrument, due to the hammers that strike the strings. This led me to imagine how a piano would sound if it were a real drum.
Performed by Svetlana Bakushina Fusion Project in the concert at Cineteatro Louletano in the city of Loulé, Portugal on 9th March 2024.
