Russia: Plenty more fish in the sea? Putin releases thousands of Omul fish into Lake Baikal

Russian President Vladimir Putin released thousands of fish into Lake Baikal, Friday, during a visit to the Baikal State Natural Biosphere Reserve in the Republic of Buryatia. For the president’s visit, a container with some 50 thousand Omul fish was installed on a small wooden pier near the reserve’s visit centre.
