Bigi-bigi (Guugu Yimithirr Subtitles)

During the school holidays of September 2017 Guugu Yimithirr language teacher Lillian Bowen from Hope Vale School in far north Queensland brought a group of students to Canberra to record the vocals for some original Guugu Yimithirr songs created by Lillian and her classes with the Songs on Country Ancestral Language Song Writing Project. This is one of the songs the students recorded. The purpose of the these songs and video clips is to provide high quality teaching and language transmission resources made by speakers and students for this and future generations of Guugu Yimithirr learners.
