L/S of a whaling boat on choppy seas. High angle shot of waves breaking over the decks. Low angle shot of man climbing up into the crow’s nest. Moving shot of an iceberg. Captain looks through binoculars on deck, crew member comes on deck and salutes captain. Fast edited sequence of man in crow’s nest spotting a whale, harpoon being launched and the whale being winched up towards the boat. The large dead whale is brought up flush to the side of the ship. The carcass has some kind of long pole with a flag on top sticking out of its back. There is no voiceover narration - just integral sound of the sea and shouts of the crew.
