Collinson And Dean (1933)

Comic sketch with the variety stars and comedians Collinson and Dean The item is introduced by Ronald Frankau. Several M/S’s of Collinson and Dean discussing the racing results next to a park bench. The younger of the two asks for his race winnings from the syndicate group. He claims is owed 13 shillings despite the overall winnings being 28 shillings (with seven people in the syndicate). When the man on the right questions this amount the other man proves it on a blackboard. When the older man does not believe trust the sums the younger man is doing he sets about adding seven 13’s himself. This he does by adding seven 3’s and then adding the 1’s separately and funnily enough the answer is 28. The younger man then takes more money off his victim by saying that he can draw any colour he likes. The older gentleman does not believe him so he places a bet. When the man says `Red’ the younger man simply writes the word on the blackboard. Duplicate exists in Turns Can 22 - check for best quality. FIL
