Tibetan nuns and slow motion prayer wheel

Every day, morning and evening Tibetan Buddhist nuns walk around the perimeter of Dolma Ling Nunnery. These “kora“, meaning “circumambulation“ or “revolution“, are both a type of pilgrimage and a type of meditative practice in the Tibetan Buddhist traditions. One morning in October 2017, Lisa Farmer, Executive Director of the Tibetan Nuns Project, captured this slow-motion video of two nuns walking around the nunnery.
