CNN Reporters Eyes Morph During Live Broadcast

I turned on the CNN news at 1:00 am on August 27,2013 and noticed this reporters eyes morphing during a live broadcast. I’m not sure if this was just a glitch on the screen, but it looked strange and I thought I’d share it. What do you think caused his eyes to change like that?
