Diana Ross ~ Lovin’ Livin’ & Givin’ 1978 Disco Purrfection Version

Man, I’m really on a roll this week. This is my third remix in three Womack asked me for some remixes of songs for the 1978 soundtrack of “Thank God It’s Friday“. I’ve already done “Sunshine - Take It To The Zoo“, “Paul Jabara - Trapped In A Stairway“, “Thelma Houston - Love Masterpiece“. Diana Ross was briefly the Queen of Disco with her song “Love Hangover“ that hit #1 in 1976. She was not really into disco and continued recording the black Barbra Streisand vein of ballads and light pop. Too bad she did not take on more of the dance music songs that were such a part of her work with the Supremes. She has one of the most engaging and unique voices in pop music, and she insisted on staying the course of ballads. When the soundtrack was released, I hurried to listen to her contribution.
