Maya Textile Project

Mash-up of a documentary about the politics, gender dynamics, economics and culturally redemptive power of the traditional Mayan Huipil of Guatemala. The interviews were omitted from this upload due to poor mic quality. What’s left is documentation of the ancient art of Mayan weaving as demonstrated by Domitila Curuchich, a master weaver from Guatemala.
