“The View” Forced To Apologize For Calling Conservative Group “Nazis”

Masked protesters waving Nazi flags descended on a Turning Points USA event in Florida, leading The View’s hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg to conflate the protesters outside (who may well have been plants) with the conference participants inside. The hosts were forced to apologize for the error, but then went right back to repeating the allegations of a connection between the protesters and the attendees, which forced them to issue even more apologies. It got so bad that Turning Point USA wondered whether they should take legal action, which caused the hashtag #SueTheView to trend. Jimmy discusses this propensity among The View hosts to spread malicious half-truths and utter nonsense, yet the show continues year after year. It’s really quite something.
