The Point: U.S. troops, out at last?

For more: Since the Palestine-Israel conflict broke out last October, the U.S. has claimed its forces in Iraq and neighboring Syria have come under more than 100 attacks by Iran-backed militants, and the latest was in response to a mortar attack against its embassy compound in Baghdad. Currently, there are 2,500 U.S. troops stationed in Iraq and an additional 900 in Syria. Could these escalations potentially lead to the withdrawal of U.S. military forces from the region?
