World War Two In America: The Palen Pass Maneuver Area

This video is a continuation of my exploring World War Two sites in the Mojave desert of the American west. This particular area was a battlefield training ground set up by General Patton to condition American soldiers in the art of desert warfare and survival, leading up to our invasion of North Africa in 1942 codenamed “Operation Torch“. I explore once again a specific area of the Mojave known for The Battle Of Palen Pass. Military maneuvers were conducted here by the U.S. Army and included the use of Infantry, artillery, tanks, and airplanes. The site is littered with foxholes, trenches, bomb craters, and the scattered relics and war debris left by the men over 80 years ago.
