Top Metal Frame Assembly - Marble Machine X #47

In this episode i am tig welding the connections between the removable Metal Frames of The Marble Machine X. Since the precision of the frame will dictate the precision of so many other parts this was quite nervous and i spend a lot of time rigging and jigging up the welds before actually welding things. Me and the MMX team are doing great work behind the scenes together with the new project manager Chris, the master of excel vodoo magic. And i am more focused than ever on making progress, so the video format is slightly more straightforward, fly on the wall-esque documenting the assembly progress. I receive emails with questions about why i am joking less in the videos and if i am not happy building anymore. It is the “you have changed” syndrome that Jimmy Diresta often talks about. The answer is that i am finally focusing more on the build than on the videos. When i get too creative with the videos, the filming and editing eats up my time and mind and the project stands still.
