Emperor (King) Haile Selassie of Ethiopia (Abyssinia) visits the Woking mosque. M/S of the Emperor arriving at mosque with Dr. Martin (ex-Abyssinian Minister) and Ras Kasa (former commander of Ethiopian Northern Armies). Scots pipers follow the Emperor, playing bagpipes.
M/S of the Emperor and other dignitaries sitting inside a marquee. Sir Archibald Hamilton, dressed in full Scots regalia (kilt and tam-o’-shanter), gives a speech. The Emperor gives a speech thanking Great Britain for their sympathy concerning Italy’s invasion of Ethiopia.
