Booster

Booster-synchrotron has 211 m circumference superconducting ring with magnetic system. The main purpose of this accelerator is to keep intensity of heavy ions during the acceleration procedure. It will be equipped with electron cooling system that allows to provide cooling of the ion beam in the energy range from injection energy up to 100 MeV/u. Booster operation starts in 2017.
