Out Takes / Cuts From Cp 710 - Reel 1 Of 2 - In The Footsteps Of Sherlock Holmes (1968)

Cuts (rushes, out takes) for story in Colour Pictorial - CP 710. The original story is on Pathe Master tape *PM0457*. Cuts for story IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF SHERLOCK HOLMES in CP 710. Mostly similar footage to cut story about the Sherlock Holmes Society visiting Switzerland on a ’pilgrimage’. Several shots at Geneva Airport as Swissair aeroplanes land. In Geneva (?) we see various shots of a flower and fruit market; people buying at the stalls. Several shots of the Sherlock Holmes Society arriving at the airport in Victorian costume; a band plays to welcome them. Brief shots inside the Union Bank of Switzerland. Lovely scenic shots of the mountains. The Society are seen eating a meal in a restaurant and looking at a bottle of ’Sherlock Holmes’ wine. Most cuts following this are a mixture of scenic shots and the Society wandering about, dining and acting out scenes from the Sherlock Holmes stories. A man (in modern dress) looks at huge copper pots and huge cow bells hanging outside a shop.
