Evacuation order declared for Singleton

An evacuation order has been issued for residents in parts of Singleton in New South Wales, with authorities warning it’s a high danger area. Residents along the Hunter River, within Whittingham, Scotts Flat, Glenridding, Dunolly and Combo, were told to evacuate their homes by 7pm. The SES says once floodwaters pass 11 metres on the Singleton gauge at Whittingham and Scotts Flat, roads will begin to close.
