Easy little watercolor sweet peas, using a Dagger brush and a round brush
In this video, I share my expression of Sweet Peas, using the Princeton brush #8 round brush and the Princeton Dagger, which made these little sweet Pea petals so easy. . The key here is holding your brush at the tip with light pressure to start and pushing it on its side to get that beautiful organic petal. I switched from the round brush to the dagger so you could see how I approach both and in case you still need the dagger brush, which is linked below.
Fun, Sweet Pea facts - These flowers have one large round petal surrounded by two narrow side petals and two lower petals = 5. They vary in pink, red, white or blue. They bloom in late spring and summer and attract butterflies.
Nan Rae has a beautiful tutorial using the dagger brush as well for sweet peas, I just gave it my own twist~
Need a little refresher on drawing flowers, try the simple technique that stuck with me all these years (it made so much more sense to my mind)
