Henry Tandey was a famous war hero and one of the most decorated British soldiers. So, you won’t believe the mistake he made. As Henry was sitting inside the trench facing enemy lines, He saw a silhouette of a man in the distance, slowly coming towards him. Because of a thick fog, Henry couldn’t tell if it was an enemy or an ally, So he just kept his gun pointed at the man and started waiting as he got closer and closer. And when he got close enough, Henry realized he was an unarmed, wounded German soldier. Henry had killed many people throughout his career, but seeing as this guy was unarmed and injured, he just couldn’t do it. He lowered his rifle, nodded at the soldier and let him go.
