Queen In North Ghana (1961)

Full title reads: “Queen In North Ghana“. Ghana, Gold Coast, West Africa. Queen Elizabeth II visits Tamale and meets tribal chiefs. Various shots of tribal chiefs waiting in Tamale. Various good shots as Queen Elizabeth II walks along with President Kwame Nkrumah and meets the chiefs. The Queen is accompanied by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Many of the chiefs are sheltering under large sun shades. M/S of boy wearing hat with two horns on the top, it is covered with shells and two straps hang down over his eyes. Another wears big robes. Various shots as the different tribes do traditional dances including the dance of warriors whilst the Queen watches with Prince Philip. L/S as she leaves in the car and waves to the assembled crowd.
