20 US F 22 fighter jets arrived in Poland and headed to Ukraine

An F-22 Raptor assigned to the Polish-Ukrainian border lands at the 32nd Tactical Air Base in Łask, Poland to support NATO’s Air Shield. NATO’s Shield Mission is a joint unified mission to improve the air and missile defense posture along the Eastern flank of the Alliance in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. 20 F-22 Raptor fighter jets deployed from the 90th Fighter Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. The Raptor is a critical component of the Global Strike Task Force and is designed to rapidly project air dominance over long ranges to defeat emerging threats.
