When we consider the difference between African elephants and Asian elephants there are more than 8 physical characteristics that differentiate Asian and African elephants. The African savanna elephants are the largest mammals on the land among 3 different species. Only some Asian elephants have tusks but both male and female African elephants have tusks and their ears are larger than Asians. An adult African elephant weighs between 4,000-7,000kg, and an Asian male weighs between 3000-6,000kg. The size of a fully grown African elephants size is up to 4 m high and an Asian is about 3.5 m.
