Ashabah - Ashabah (full album, 2023)

This self-titled debut album from Ashabah is a fiendishly addictive meeting of traditional and modern influences in both sound and thematic forms. This theistic satanist black metal band is named after the unclean peoples tribe of Elder Scrolls, mixing arcane and factionary occultism into an album of melodically aggressive black metal leavened with a garagey looseness. A form of USBM similar to bands like Plainchant, Grave Pilgrim, Amidst Pines and others that simultaneously maintains a seething violence at the centre of its stratospheric atmosphere. Self-released in digital format in October, the album is set for imminent release on the 29th November by Polish label Victims of Fate in a limited edition of 50 cassettes – UV printed shells with logo pins.
