Broadcast images running on the Russian news channel Kommersant TV include milk being poured onto a gorgeous black leather armchair, pink paint being flicked onto a white statue, and hundreds of black cubes that pick up color as they pass through the station’s logo before tumbling onto the floor.
“The brief for the Kommersant TV graphics was to create a modern yet unconventional identity,“ said Grant Gilbert, Creative Director and owner of London-based motion graphics and branding house Double G Studios -
According to Grant, the “MoGraph“ suite of motion graphics tools inside CINEMA 4D were pivotal in the project.
“We also found it necessary to shoot live action for some of the idents to add a humanity to the channel,“ said Grant. “We really didn’t want it to become a 3D animated channel.“
