Industry insiders said on Friday that the anti-trust watchdog had sent an examination report, equivalent to an indictment, at the end of last year to Meta for its alleged violations of the country’s e-Commerce Act. Reportedly, Meta -which operates Facebook and Instagram -has allegedly neglected to protect its users from counterfeit goods or fraud on social media marketplaces. The e-commerce law dictates that such platform operators should provide details on sellers to consumers to properly deal with disputes or complaints.
