K-DESIGN ｜ #3 CRAFT (with Dahye-Jeong, SeMoCA)

Korean design has garnered considerable worldwide attention lately, receiving prestigious design awards as well as showcasing its artistic media at New York’s Times Square.🌊 In our YouTube series K-DESIGN, the Korea Foundation presents traditional and contemporary Korean designs drawn from everyday life through three episodes: cuisine, furniture, and crafts. Last but not least, K-Craft presents collections of delicate embroidery from the Seoul Museum of Craft Art. And as you might have seen on BTS RM’s Instagram posting, this episode also highlights ’A Time of Sincerity,’ a basket woven from horsehair using a 500-year old technique, created by 2022 Loewe Foundation Craft Prize winner Dahye-Jeong.
