Boytronic was founded in 1983 by Holger Wobker and Peter Sawatzki in Hamburg, Germany as Kapitän Sehnsucht (Captain Desire). The original Boytronic released two synthpop albums: “The Working Model“ (1983) and “The Continental“ (1985). The record company, claiming rights to the band name, put together a completely different line-up in 1986 which for the most part actually sucked big time if you listen to some of their albums urh!.
This track is supposed to be from 1989, meaning that the original members had been already chopped by the Record Company, but it sounds like the original line-up (that is fairly descent) so I’m kind of confused; I’m not really well informed -to be honest -and I find it very confusing, so if anyone can shed some light on the matter it would be great.
Most songs by Boytronic might sound gay -as in homosexual and also as in jovial or happy-, and the melodies are most probably a bit gay in both senses of the word, but who cares if it sounds good (at least some of them, just like this trigger track ) ►♫ ►♫►♪
