Viktor Morozov / Віктор Морозов - “Chernivtsi“, Chervona Ruta Festival 1989

A rare clip of Viktor Morozov performing the song “Chernivtsi“ at the Chervona Ruta Festival in Chernivtsi in September 1989. Set to the words of Kost Moskalets, it deals with the horrible post-Chornobyl effects on children in that region. Morozov had previously worked in Chernivtsi with the group “Smerichka“. At the time he was based in Lviv where he had become artistic director of the celebrated cabaret group “Ne Zhurys“ (Don’t Worry). Apologies for the poor quality.
