Trouble in Ireland - 1920? (Southern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Eire). Soldiers; possibly Royal Irish Constabulary - the Black and Tans - are preparing to defend garrison or other place. Opens w/ shot of vehicles approaching through stone arch. Horse-drawn wagons; Army trucks; automobile. CU soldier speaking; standing by open car; above level of crowd of civilians around him. MS 3 soldiers; 2 hold ends of a long 2 x 4 board and turn it as the 3rd holds barbed wire which is being wrapped round the board.
