HMS Surprise exercises her

The port side carronades are all functional and they are working flawlessly when first loaded with a bit of balled up flash paper, then load the cartridge. I fired these 18 guns 6 times each today and the only problem I had was I forgot to load some flash paper on several tubes during one of the exercises, and I had to worm out the tube. All other tests were absolutely perfect. If you don’t count forgetting to turn the camera on.
