Combinando as antigas tradições das narrativas orais às novas técnicas da REALIDADE VIRTUAL, o filme narra as MEMÓRIAS, os SONHOS e o COTIDIANO dessas CRIANÇAS. Desde 1986, o Norte do UGANDA tem sido um local de conflito constante, onde mais de CRIANÇAS FORAM RAPTADAS e forçadas a passar parte da sua infância como SOLDADOS pelas forças rebeldes do Exército de Resistência do Senhor. Official selection for the Tribeca Film Festival 2019, Director Fabiano Mixo’s Children Do Not Play At War is a cinematic and interactive VR film that tells the stories of the children of war in Uganda through the words and images of Aloyo, a 12 year-old girl. Since 1986, Northern Uganda has been a place of constant conflict, where over 75,000 children have been abducted and forced to spend part of their childhood as soldiers by the rebellion forces of the Lord’s Resistance Army. See this world from the perspective of Aloyo, as she plays, explores, and shares fireside stories about the children the war took away. Fabiano Mixo (@fabianomixo) is a Brazilian filmmaker whose work questions the boundaries of multicultural identities and memory through diverse forms and perspectives. Children Do Not Play War was made in partnership with GO Campaign, a non-profit that improves the lives of orphans and vulnerable children around the world by partnering with local heroes to deliver local solutions.
