Simple Quilt using 2 1/2 inch STRIPS! First in a series of scrappy projects to use your stash!

First project in a series using 2 1/2 inch strips to make scrappy quilts! This will be a great way to make beautiful, scrappy, quilts. My goal is to use up strips that have accumulated in my lifetime of quilting! I’ve challenged myself to do a new project each month using only 2 1/2 inch strips from my scrap buckets. I have always saved leftover strips from projects and cut up small leftover fabric from yardage into 2 1/2 inch strips and put them in a bucket for some “future“ project . The future is now! It is time to tame the scrap bucket and use up these strips. I’ll always have a scrap bucket of strips because I’m constantly adding to it but I want to get it down to just ONE bucket instead of three! This series will last until I’m down to one bucket. Let’s be honest, it will take at least 2 years to use up enough strips to make a difference! So join me on this project adventure to use up fabric scraps! Consider joining our Facebook group called “The Quilted Forest Friends“. This is the only place you’ll have access to exclusive free quilt patterns used in some of our other video projects. It’s also lots of fun for members to share their project updates. Here’s a link to the group: The Quilted Forest is located at 205 North Clark in Forest City, IA. Our phone number is 641-585-2438. We stock patterns, books, notions, batting, and fabric for sewing and quilting projects. Our shop is filled with finished quilts and smaller projects to provide plenty of inspiration. We are open Monday - Friday, 10am to 5pm, and 10am to 4pm on Saturday. We are in the central time zone. Please like, comment, share and subscribe to our channel! We are adding videos weekly. Our YouTube channel is growing and we hope you will find the videos helpful. We do tutorials, product reviews, shop tours, mystery quilts and more!
